The Romance Review

Reading people's minds and being able to see the future is a hot commodity. Especially if this said person can give an advantage over competitors.

Serena Abbott is essentially all alone in the world since her mother passed away. She does have an aunt and a female cousin, but they don't have anything to do with Serena. Since being around people gives Serena a migraine, she's better off isolated in her home, painting to her heart's content.

The only thing disturbing her life is a recurring premonition of meeting her dream man. He's the one who will finally connect with her. She's not sure when she will meet him, but when her absent female cousin invites Serena to her wedding in New York, it all becomes clear. It is fate for Serena to find her man in New York.

The thing with premonitions is it's not always accurate and not every detail is in high definition. Serena is thrown for a loop when she discovers her dream man is actually two men. Ian and Alastair are twins living one life. It reminds me of the movie, The Prestige, staring Christian Bale and Hugh Jackman. This complication of two men pushes Serena to her limit. On top of this, her abilities are a threat to both the twins and her cousin's husband.

This romantic suspense novel is erotic and well written. Ms. Brooke pens some of the hotter ménage stories involving brothers. It's her trademark. Her sexy threesomes are v triads because the brothers are not sexually involved with each other. There is no incest and that is much appreciated. Still, at the mercy of two handsome powerful men who can communicate telepathically is a heady sensation.

The conflict in this story is understandable even if it is just in the narrow mind of Serena. Fortunately, it's resolved in a manner both believable and sweet. In between combating evil villains and learning to control Serena's abilities, the reader is treated to smoking hot sex. This romance is recommended to romance lovers who enjoy a bit of the paranormal.

I like the sound of this one. *gingerly adds it to TBR, shelf groans, but holds*
Wait until you read some of my other reviews! :) I hope you have another shelf...or you need to install some reinforcement bars.
Oh no! *groans* Ok, got it covered. *asks hubby to build another shelf*
