Review: Driftwood Deeds

Driftwood Deeds
Driftwood Deeds by Laila Blake

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Introduction into kinky sex could show up anywhere. Iris Ellis is invited by an elusive screenwriter, Paul Archer for an interview. He's known to be a difficult person to interview. Iris is surprised by how he treats her to a wonderful afternoon which transforms into a sexual interlude.

This is an enjoyable short story. It's a good Gateway to BDSM book. The BDSM is light and arousing. It's the beginning of a possible relationship with much potential. Will it go past a first date? One can only hope as Paul's sexual desires excite Iris.

From a character point of view, both characters are rather under developed. It doesn't detract from the story because they are easily relatable in this contemporary setting. The world building is also light yet it works because the focus is Iris's sexual awakening. This erotic journey is sweet. Watching her realize there is more to live than vanilla sex is enticing. I remember this feeling when I first learned about the kinky lifestyle. This story speaks to me in its innocence blooming.

Recommended for romance reader taking their first step into the sensual world of kink.
