INTERVIEW with Paul and Megan
La Crimson Femme: Paul and Megan, what are the biggest obstacles you encounter as a couple?

Megan: His guilt. There are still times when he thinks he isn’t good enough for me.
Paul: *Leans over and kisses Megan’s temple.* I’m working on it.
La Crimson Femme: *Smiles* Are you planning to have children?  If so, how many?
Paul: It’s something we’ve discussed. Given Megan is working on her degree, we’ve decided to wait a few years before we start trying. As for how many . . . we’ll have to see how it goes.
La Crimson Femme: Hmm, maybe enough for your own basketball team…  *chuckles* Megan, with Paul being a detective, what techniques do you use to keep yourself from worrying when he is out late at night?
Megan: Wow, your number of kids for us is not something we have discussed.  With Paul being a detective, I think it helps that my sister was an FBI agent. When she first joined, I was worried sick about her. Some nights I couldn’t sleep, I was so worried. One day she sat me down and we talked. We talked about the risks and what she does to reduce the risk of something happening to her. Having gone through all that with Becca has helped me deal with Paul’s job.  Luckily, he doesn’t get called out in the middle of the night too often. When he does, I try my best not to think about it. I know he’ll do his best to keep himself safe for me and Chloe.
La Crimson Femme: That make sense and it’s good to see how your sister helped.  Paul, you've already experience a pretty bad situation with Megan in the middle of it.  Since you both survived it, do you still have fears of what could happen to her?  If so, what are they?
Paul: Yes. Of course I do. Given my job, I see some horrible things. My greatest fear, however, is that what happened to Melissa will happen to Megan. I know it’s irrational, but I still don’t like Megan going out late at night by herself. Thankfully, most of the time, she humors me.
La Crimson Femme: Hmm, nightly bedtime check by Paul… *eyebrow raised at Paul* So, Megan, does it feel odd to you when both you and your sister married brothers?  If so, why?
Megan: *Laughs* The only time it feels odd is when the topic of sex comes up. I love my sister, but I do not want to hear how great Gage is in bed. *rolls eyes* I’m not sure that really has to do with him being Paul’s brother, though. It’s more that Gage feels like a brother to me and no one wants to hear about their brothers sexual escapades.
La Crimson Femme: Hah.  I can see how that would be off putting.  Paul, what is one thing that drives you batty about Megan?
Paul: *chuckles* She likes to leave her dirty towels on the floor.
*Megan nudges Paul with her shoulder.*
Paul: *shrugs* Well, it’s true.
La Crimson Femme: Megan, what is one thing about Paul which drives you batty?
Megan: *Shoots Paul a glare before turning back to answer the question* Paul still has some issues with me doing things for him. I was gathering laundry one day and just picked his up with all the rest. When he got home and found the clean laundry on the bed, he was irritated saying he was more than capable of doing his own laundry. *Reaches up to place a chaste kiss on his lips.* It’s a work in progress.
La Crimson Femme: Aw, that is sweet.  *Smiles*  Dream vacation… where would you go and what would you like to do?
Paul: We’ve been talking about taking a Disney cruise. This way Chloe would be able to have fun while, at the same time, we can relax a little and enjoy being away from the world for a bit.
La Crimson Femme: A cruise would be nice and Chloe would love it.  I’ve heard Disney cruises are wonderful for families.  And many families bring back a souvenir which takes 9 months to show up!  *Winks at Megan* Megan, what is something you do which would surprise people?  Something your sister and perhaps friends don't know about you?
Megan: *Rolls eyes and is quiet for several moments.* I recently started painting. Paul walked up behind me one day while I was doing some watercolors with Chloe and asked if I’d ever tried painting. Shyly I admitted that I used to paint a little in high school, but I never showed anyone my paintings. With Paul’s encouragement, I began painting again, and I’ve found I really enjoy it.
La Crimson Femme: Nice!  Maybe you will show some of your work next time we meet.  Since Megan paints, Paul, if you couldn't be a cop, what would you do instead?
Paul:  That’s a good question. I wanted to be a cop since I was in school. It’s hard to think of what I’d do outside of that.*Sighs, and rubs his hands along his legs.* I suppose I’d do something outside. Paperwork is the worst part of my job. I’d much rather be out on the streets. Maybe I’d work in construction like Chris. Or landscaping like Trent. I don’t know. But definitely something outside. I couldn’t stand to be cooped up behind a desk for too long.

La Crimson Femme: I can understand wanting to work outside and avoiding paperwork.  Paperwork seems to NEVER end.  *Sighs*  Thank you Megan and Paul for stopping by! Don't forget to enter in the giveaway below!

~~SUMMARY~~
Detective Paul Daniels has spent four and a half years mourning the loss of his wife. He’s been doing his best to raise their daughter, Chloe, with the help of his in-laws. When they inform him right before Thanksgiving that they’re going to be moving over two hours away, Paul finds himself without anyone to watch Chloe—especially when he’s called out to a crime scene in the middle of the night. Little does he know that meeting his baby brother’s girlfriend and her sister, Megan, will change everything.

Megan Carson has taken a few wrong turns in her life, but she’s doing her best to get back on track. When she meets Chloe, the little girl swiftly worms her way into Megan’s heart. The opportunity to help Paul out and watch his daughter appears to be a blessing in disguise. She quickly volunteers to be Chloe’s live-in nanny.

Everything is working well until the three of them head back to Ohio for Chris and Elizabeth’s wedding. Paul has a little too much to drink during the reception, and he and Megan end up sharing a heated kiss. When he wakes up the next day, he has a pounding headache but remembers nothing.

Megan, however, isn’t willing to forget. Over the past few months since she’s been playing nanny, her feelings for Paul have changed. He is everything she never knew she wanted, and now that she knows there might be something there, she’s going after what she wants—Paul.

~~PRAISE FOR CROSSING THE LINE~~

"I really loved the build up in this story and couldn't read fast enough to find out what happens next. Will Paul let go of his guilt from the past and give a relationship with Megan a chance? Or is Paul bad for Megan and lose her because of another mistake he makes? Read this book if you want a good romance, with a side of suspense, enjoyable characters and some smokin HOT scenes." ~Diane Williams, Goodreads

~~ABOUT THE AUTHOR~~

Sherri spent most of her childhood detesting English class. It was one of her least favorite subjects because she never seemed to fit into the standard mold. She wasn't good at spelling, or following grammar rules, and outlines made her head spin. For that reason, Sherri never imagined becoming an author. At the age of thirty, all of that changed. After getting frustrated with the direction a television show was taking two of its characters, Sherri decided to try her hand at writing an alternate ending, and give the characters their happily ever after. By the time the story finished, it was one of the top ten read stories on the site, and her readers were encouraging her to write more. Seven years later, Sherri is the author of seven full-length novels, and one short story. Writing has become a creative outlet for Sherri that allows her to explore a wide range of emotions, while having fun taking her characters through all the twists and turns she can create. She is most well known for her Finding Anna Series about a young woman rescued from being a sex slave by a wealthy Dominant. Sherri’s eighth novel, Crossing The Line, is scheduled to release September 4, 2014.
