Review: Poisoned Pen

Poisoned Pen
Poisoned Pen by Zenina Masters

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Not everyone is interested in finding a mate. Sometimes a woman just wants to be left alone to work and enjoy a single life. Ivy is a copy editor who is married to her work. She is a workaholic forced to Crossroads by her family. Finally giving in, she comes up with a plan. She's going to avoid all males and snarl at anyone one looking her way.

Ms. Masters somehow brings a swan and a snake together. Chuck is not just any snake. His background is moving. What Ivy can't resist is when she learns what Chuck does in his free time. He's not just the bartender; he writes books. What kind of books? He writes erotic romances under a pen name. How deliciously right he is for her.

The little dance Ivy does with Chuck is amusing and sweet. When the two of them are together, they light up the page with chemistry. Ms. Masters does another masterful job at showing how a snake and water bird can be together. When Ivy finally falls, she falls hard. It's a fun to watch Chuck wind his way around her heart. This paranormal romance is recommended for romantics looking for a happily ever after.
