The Romance Review
A virgin walks into a club, aiming to get laid. Tess Clifton is said virgin and she is tired of being celibate. She did her research and she knows this BDSM club is going to have what she wants. And what she wants is a hard throbbing cock in her tight little quim. Perhaps she bit off a bit more than she can chew.

For those in the lifestyle or looking for realistic BDSM erotica, this is not the book for you. For those who enjoy virgin and billionaire tropes, this is the book for you. This glitterkink comes with a rich single dominant included. Ian McAllister is the owner of said club and one look at Tessa, he is heads over heels. Not one to settle down, something calls to him about Tessa--more than just his heat-seeking cock aimed straight at Tessa's wet and ready cunt.

This story is hard for me to read because the plot made no sense to me. I couldn't fathom why Ian would want Tessa. There is really nothing special about her other than her virgin status at her "old age". She is a bit juvenile and more specifically, she has a history of child abuse. This is a pet peeve of mine. I do not like BDSM used to "cure" a submissive's mental traumas. Most of the BDSM scenes in here bothered me and put me ill at ease. If this was supposed to be a dark erotica where Ian is the predator defiling Tessa with an unhappily ever after, I would have been fine. Instead, this is an erotic contemporary romance with a happily ever after. These two characters are a train wreck for me. Ian does not come across as a mature and stable dominant. He comes across as overbearing and kind of creepy stalker. After one fuck, Ian "owns" Tessa and expects her to be "his". Seriously, Mr. Loverboy player suddenly becomes monogamous with a one-night stand? Wow, what kind of pussy magic does she have? Because Tessa needs to bottle it and sell it to all the desperate women unable to get a man to commit. Sarcasm aside, Ian disturbs me because when Tessa pulls away and wants to hide instead of communicate, this happens:

"The screen [cellphone] flickered to life and immediately started buzzing. There were seventy eight missed calls, twenty-two voicemails, and three texts. That was a bit odd. (pg. 162, Kindle loc. 2472-2474)"

Sorry, this was just a bit odd? How about scary odd? I do not think even when I was drunk dialing an ex-boyfriend did I call him more than three times one weekend. At this point, I'd expect Ian to find Tessa and chip her with a GPS tracking so he can know where she is at all times. Although, that wouldn't be a bad idea because Tessa can definitely get herself into stupid trouble. And, the idea of being chipped by a dominant is kind of hot.

Some relationships contain a lot of drama to it and a lack of communication skills. This fits Ian and Tessa to a T. It works for them because at the end, it is all lovey-dovey. For me, it is a prelude to domestic violence and possibly a murder-suicide waiting to happen.
