I haven't experienced anything funny.   I do find the Furries amusing.  I'm not sure I could have sex with someone dressed up in a costume in this manner.  It's not the implied bestiality.  That I'm fine with.  It's the fact that I think of Barney the big purple dinosaur.  I think the most amusing characterization of furries is in the Melissa Cherry's music video - take me from behind.
