About A Summer Soundtrack for Falling in Love
What he wanted was a music career. What he needed was love.
When Kris Golding leaves his dusty Kansas hometown for a fresh start in New York, he thinks an apartment and a job are waiting for him. But when he finds neither, rather than admit defeat, he takes his chances busking—and meets Rayne Bakshi of international rock band The Chokecherries. Rayne needs a new guitarist, and gives Kris his first break since leaving home.
Rayne wears makeup and glitter and thinks nothing of kissing Kris in front of twenty thousand screaming fans for the attention. Instantly infatuated, Kris begins to question whether he might have a crush on Rayne—could he be bisexual? But since Kris originally claimed to be straight, Rayne’s wary of g…

Single White Incubus by EJ Russell blog tour

About Single White Incubus Does a bear shift in the woods? Well, partially. That was what got grizzly shifter Ted Farnsworth into trouble. He wasn’t trying to break the Secrecy Pact. He just wants people to see the real him. So he signs up with the mate-matching service Supernatural Selection — which guarantees marriage to a perfect partner. Not only will Ted never be lonely again, but once his new beaver shifter husband arrives, they’ll build Ted’s dream wilderness retreat together. Win-win. Quentin Bertrand-Harrington, scion of an incubus dynasty, has abstained from sex since nearly killing his last lover. When his family declares it’s time for him to marry, Quentin decides the only way not to murder his partner is to pick someone who’s already dead. Supernatural Selection finds him the ideal vampire, and Quentin signs the marriage agreement sight unseen. But a mix-up at Supernatural Selection contracts Quentin with Ted. What’s Ted supposed to do with an art historian who knows more ab…

Review: Conjured Shadows

Conjured Shadows by Joely Sue Burkhart
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What is this delectable shenanigans? This is a surprise teaser of a new series from the mind of the devious Ms. Burkhart. It is part of a larger anthology and it promises to be another explosively erotic series. Instead of vampires, this time readers are treated to demons and sorcerers.

I've read Ms. Burkhart from the very beginning. Her style is maturing and it shows in her erotic writings. The sexual tension leaping off the pages will whip a reader into a horny frenzy. I love it. The characters are riveting and the worlds she creates are unique yet familiar. Familiar in that it is easily relatable and understandable and with her unique flavor. Fantastic! I can't wait to read more of Crimson Black. Recommended to erotic readers who enjoy poly relationships.

Review: Queen Takes Jaguars

Queen Takes Jaguars by Joely Sue Burkhart
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

ne vampire queen. Four jaguar Blood sworn to protect her.

Delicious little spin off from Their Vampire Queen Series, the reader learns about how Mayte came to exist and how she finds her own mate. This is a story which can be read as a standalone. It will most likely intrigue the reader and hook them into the main series.

For those who enjoy darker vampires who are unapologetic about their desires and nature, this series is for you. Mayte is surround by loved ones and yet they are not enough to protect her from the dangers from her own kind. This is hard on Mayte because as a queen, she should be the one to protect her people. One of the ways to keep her people safe yet place them in more danger is to produce an heir. Unfortunately, female vampires have not been reproducing and no one knows why... except her mother. Her mother who killed herself trying to get to her lover.

Ms. Burkhart weaves her magic with words in th…

Shameless 2018 Book Convention

Today I leave for the Shameless Book Convention!  I will be meeting twenty-five authors I've read and wanted to meet in person.  It will be exciting!  I will be able to see Candace Blevins and Annabel Joseph again which is always a pleasure.  If I get my Instagram working correctly, I'll be sending pictures of the place and book conference throughout the weekend.  It is my first book convention.  My latest cherry to bust!  Wish me luck.

Review: Unhallowed Murder: A Murder-Mystery Romance

Unhallowed Murder: A Murder-Mystery Romance by Candace Blevins
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Halloween isn't complete if there isn't a spooky fun house. For Veronica Woods aka Ronnie, she's been coaxed to dress up as one of the Power Rangers. Expecting a night of fun with friends, the last thing she expects is to have to pull out her badge and work a homicide. When an extra body shows up in the zombie display, things are about to get heated.

This story is a new direction for Ms. Blevins and I love it. She easily marries up a murder mystery into her paranormal romance world. Not sure what to expect, I enjoyed the procedural writing style. It makes me think and try to figure out... "whodunnit?" This stimulates and engages my mind. I'm following along with Ronnie to piece the clues together and figure out the killer. I am pretty happy that I figured it out early on. This is because Ms. Blevins laid enough clues out for me to see the big picture and pinpoint who commit…

Review: Empty-Handed Heart

Empty-Handed Heart by Tymber Dalton
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Is this Cardinal Rule all over again? One of the first books I read by Ms. Dalton broke my heart. One of the first books in the series, a love story all twisted and angst-filled just about killed me. When a beloved Dom leaves a submissive with little notice, it is painful. Fortunately, in this story, there is no abrupt departure in the middle of the night.

Aden is a man who loved his Dom, Niall, with all his heart. It wasn't enough to keep Niall with him when Niall is offered a job in California, just as Aden starts to build a stable life for them. It is sad to see how jobs can tear lovers apart as there is no way for Aden to uproot himself after wanting to put down roots for years. This is a very important piece for Aden because as an orphan, he had no family or place to call home. Loving Niall and gaining a father from Niall's family is more than Aden could have hoped for, so when the break has to occur, it's li…

Building Forever by Kelly Jensen Blog Tour

Building Forever is the first in a series of standalone novels focused on older characters who think love has passed them by. I loved writing these second chance romances, and I hope you enjoy reading about the books—especially this one because Charlie and Simon will forever be the characters who started me on this journey. About Building Forever

A new town, a new neighbor, and a new chance to build a forever.

Charlie King is doing fine. Sure, he’s a widower raising a teenage daughter who just got her first boyfriend, his book series isn’t writing itself, and he has a crush on his new neighbor — the guy next door. But everything’s just fine.

Simon Lynley is doing better. He moved to Bethlehem to fall out of love and rebuild his career. An affair with his neighbor isn’t part of the plan, but the attraction between them is too hard to ignore.

But when Simon’s ex follows him to Pennsylvania seeking reconciliation, and Charlie’s life starts to feel like a video on repeat, everything comes ap…

Review: Signed Over

Signed Over by Lynda Aicher
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

A Sexy and erotic interlude, Ms. Aicher provides a teaser novella to tide a reader over until her next book in this series. For new readers to this series, this book can be read as a standalone. This kinky series is all about high powered c-suite men and women enjoying each other through swinging shenanigans in office spaces.

Quite honestly, this series kind of reminds me of either Starz or HBO "Confessions of a Sex Addict" type series. I can easily see this series as an HBO series. In this delightful tidbit for a bit of afternoon delight, Bailey Brown and Jacob Anders finally take that next step to commit. Their sexual tension is hot and palpable. Each time they have matched up as sexual partners, it's only increased their desire for each other. For a casual closed poly group, this could be a problem. The two of them work it out over a desk, perhaps a chair and against a wall. There is virtually no plot, just deliciou…

Review: Saving Sarah

Saving Sarah by Melissa Storm
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

New to me author Ms. Storm pens a story of struggle and guilt. A woman's fiction, this story starts out slow with Sarah Campbell working in a nursing home which is more like a hospice. Sarah is struggling with her life because she made a mistake in her teens that makes her feel guilty, as if she does not have the right to enjoy life or live. Therapy withstanding, she still is quite frankly, messed up in the head.

This story was hard for me to get through because I thought it was going to be a mystery. Whilst there is a bit of mystery, this is more women's fiction with a woman's self discovery to self forgiveness. Sarah is not particularly likeable or unlikeable. She's bland like a wallflower one would never notice. The only thing one would notice about Sarah is her dog. She does have an adorable dog. I couldn't connect to Sarah's character because she has little drive and her decisions are many times illogi…

Review: Cross Breed

Cross Breed by Lora Leigh
My rating: 3.5 of 5 stars

FINALLY Cassandra's love story is here. I have been waiting so long I gave up hope. When my grubby little hands grasped a hold of this book, I had such high expectations. I confess; I am vexed. I feel like Ms. Leigh is edging me the entire time this story and then when the big climax is about to happen, she ruined it. I'm left unsatisfied and wondering what just happened.

The story starts out so well with flashes to the past. Cassie's mysterious lover and mate sneaks in and out of her life. When the reveal occurs, I am not sure how I feel. I did not guess who her mate would be. The sexual tension between the two is similar to the majority of the book in this series. The mating sex is as hawt as usual. Nothing unpredictable. What was surprising is how Cassie's world is turned upside down and other breeds turned against her. I never understood how the breeds could be so against the coyotes. It is sad to see that the bre…

Review: Steady Rain

Steady Rain by Tymber Dalton
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Rope bunnies unite! For those who enjoy knotty times with two sexy men, this is the book for you. Tristan and Kyle have been friends for a long time and now roommates. After watching one another experience one failed relationship after another, they finally take a good look at each other and realize they should be together. Just as they are starting on this lovely mm relationship, a sexy female whirls into their world. Jessica is sans home and lover but comes with an abandoned dog. Jessica can sympathize with her new found pet. They are both in similar situations - homeless and unwanted.

These three start off with a tentative relationship. It is professional with Jessica taking erotic photographs of Tristan and Kyle's rope bondage. This brings them tighter together and they explore their possible personal side -- a tasty threesome. Of course, it is not a Tymber Dalton book if there isn't a dastardly villain in the background…
