Review: Green-Eyed Demon

Green-Eyed Demon by Jaye Wells

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Can Sabina cause anymore trouble? Can there be any more secret societies out to get her? Sabina is a walking chaos aptly saddled with a mischief demon. In this one, she needs to save her sister Maisie from their diabolical evil grandmother.

In reality, this book is a whole pity party for Sabina. She is constantly sabotaging herself and she shows no self restraint. Really, the chip on her shoulder is the size of Mount Everest. At one point it would be nice to have her killed. The secondary characters are all pretty good. Mr. Giggles is still awesome. Brookes steals the show with the song "Touch myself". Adam is unfailing in his loyalty and support, despite Sabina screwing things up royally.

Sabina learns more about her powers and who backs this mysterious sect - Caste. There's also a kinky rockstar mage who is more interesting and better than the current mages. He's into kinky shit and he's a good…

Review: The Angel

The Angel by Tiffany Reisz

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Søren and Elenora are back together, is this the happily ever after? After years apart, they are reunited; it's a beautiful thing watching them together. The BDSM edgeplay is definitely turned up in this one. The SM is absolutely divine. The blood play was unexpected and gives edge players delicious shivers.

In this story, the history unfolds like layers of an onion skin. While this is cliché to say, it’s because as each memory is peeled back, the reader can not help but gasp in pain with tears stinging the eyes. Nora, Søren, Griffin, Michael and Kingsley are each dealt a bad hand. The harshness they have endured is heartbreaking. Does Ms. Reisz ever have any happy thoughts? With suicide, incest, pedophilia, child abuse, rape and abandonment, really, what more can be added? The reader may find Søren to be a sadist. They are wrong. The true sadist is the author, Ms. Reisz. These characters are all broken and damaged a…

Review: The Space Between Us

The Space Between Us by Megan Hart

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Tesla lives in a basement of her friends Vic and Elain. She is working a seemingly dead end job as a coffee barista. Seen as a wild child, Tesla is actually quite sedate. She doesn't want to stick out and is happily living one day at a time.

Telsa's life is complicated with relationships that are not within the norm. While she did have two parents and one brother, it wasn't a conventional family. They spent summers at a hippie commune where her parents were swinging. Telsa's sexual education and freedom is unorthodox which shaped her life. Even her first experiences were a bit out of the ordinary which makes her so attractive.

This attraction is what pulls Meredith, one of her regular customers to her. Meredith stops by the coffee shop every day and wants to hear stories about other people's lives. She so stunning, Telsa can not help, but fall for her. Tesla is sexually fluid so for her, it's …

Review: The Mage in Black

The Mage in Black by Jaye Wells

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Sabina is now off to meet her twin, Maisie. Unlike Sabina, Maisie in New York is raised like a princess. She owns the nicest things and she's been raised in a loving family. Evil twin, good twin much?

Sabina is seriously off her game. She's been exiled more or less by her vampire society. Her money is blocked from her. And people are still trying to kill her. While this is going on, she's supposed to learn magic from someone she doesn't know? What happened to promises made by Adam?

Sabina is a hot head, that's for sure. She has yet to learn to control her temper and she easily lets people rile her. For this, it's disappointing. She has only one mode, kill, kill and kill. It doesn't appear she has a brain to think or strateg-ize at all. She's all brawn with very little logic. She's a thug, essentially. It's sad to be close to sixty years old and still be pretty much a drama…

Cosmo Stupidest sex tips ever

A friend of mine contacted me on a sex tip article from Cosmo Magazine.  I have to say, I don't ever recall reading a Cosmo and now I know why.  Apparently there are sex tips in the magazine which are to help a woman get her man aroused or excited.  Based on what they give for BDSM tips, I can safely discount any other sex tips they have ever given women.  These are so bad, I can't even begin to explain.

Worst Cosmo BDSM sex tips

So in response to these "BDSM tips", here's what I have to say.

I want to

To tell them I'm going to

And they need a good

This may happen too while I'm at it.

So when they see me

They need to

Review: Dark Nights

Dark Nights by Christine Feehan

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Joie Sanders is a tough bodyguard who is special. She's able to communicate telepathically with her older brother and sister. During one routine assignment, she's shot and ends up astro-projecting herself through the Carpathian Mountains. She finds an amazing cave where a handsome man is lying in a mud puddle. Since this is all a dream to her, she humours the guy and answers some of his questions. Months later, after her recovering, she finds Traian. Dragging her brother, Jubal, and sister, Gabrielle, along in unknown parts, they dive head into danger.

As a fan of the Carpathians, this expanded story on Joie and Traian is a delight. The reader is treated to more information about the mages, earlier on in the series. It's also nice to see a very strong female lead - Joie work it out with an old fashion traditionalist male. Traian is surprisingly willing to work on his protective streak with Joie. This story i…

Review: Samurai Game

Samurai Game by Christine Feehan

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Dying over and over again can easily change a person's hair white. It's kind of cool to be able to survive death, like nine lives of a cat. However, when it's a child forced to die over and over again through sadistic butchering in the pursuit of science, this is a horrendous crime. In Samurai Game, Azami is a powerful part of a brother/sister triad. She's the brains of the lucrative Japanese satellite company. She's also bent on vengeance.

For her early eight years of life, Azami was named Thorn. She was one of the orphan girls mad scientist Dr. Whitney experimented on with genetic mutations and as it turns out, nanotechnology. Deemed as worthless, she was tossed aside, left to die. It was the best thing that could ever happen to Thorn. She rose from the ashes, like the Phoenix she tattooed on her body. She's now Azami and she is a force to be reckoned with. Her sole focus, the destruction of …

Review: Alice Under Discipline - Part 1

Alice Under Discipline - Part 1 by Garth Toyntanen

My rating: 2 of 5 stars

Wealth, beauty, smarts and a handsome fiancé, Alice is on top of the world. Alice is a smart privileged princess who lives it up a bit wild with some recreational drugs. Her friends are also enjoying the high life with Alice. Unfortunately for Alice, her father passes away and her stepmother is running out of money. Her stepmother, Karen Lamberton-Marchment, is the quintessential evil stepmother. She wants full control of Alice's fortune and she will do any and everything illegal to make it happen. She possesses some very depraved ideas of how Alice can be of use to her. Alice is more than just a fat dollar sign to provide a luxurious easy life. Karen would like Alice to be her sexy little girl to be used and abused.

To enslave Alice, Karen sets her up and addicts Alice to mind altering drugs. The concept of this story is very alluring. This is not incestuous, but it is a Mommy age-play story with some dirt…

Review: Chasing Sin

Chasing Sin by Sara Brookes

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Kate’s suicidal chasing of storms is brought to heel for a night when the duo storm chasers, Snyder and Tripp, pull her into the calming eye of their sex storm. The ménage between the three is smoking hot. The various sexy positions are finger licking good. Ms. Brookes writes some of the smexiest m/m/f ménage. The fact that her ménages require a relationship between all three of the lovers is what makes it so hot.

In Chasing Sin, Kate is one of the premier storm chasers with dead on instinct. Her uncanny ability to predict where a storm cell will form as well as the path travelled is unparalleled. Apparently this instinct is counterbalanced by her complete inability for a healthy relationship. It is never fully revealed why Kate strongly objects to a stable relationship. Veiled hints of a troubled family dynamic do not cut it. It is a loose annoying thread in the story.

Snyder and Tripp are established lovers who admire and …

Review: Giving It Up

Giving It Up by Amber Lin

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Almost three years have passed yet Allie clings to the betrayal of a best friend like a lifeline. Her entire being seems to revolve around her sexual violation by a trusted friend. The choices in her life continue to stem from this befuddling incident. She frequents bars on a monthly basis for her fix of degrading violent sex. She defiantly owns her desecration by taking the pounding when she actively seeks it. Unfortunately, instead of a woman yelling, “hear me roar”, she comes as across as a scrawny beaten kitten piteously mewing “please hurt me because I deserve nothing better.”

Allie is a vortex of destruction. It appears everyone she touches is sucked down into her depressing world of self flagellation. Her smarter prettier friend Shelly lives in a hovel with Allie to keep her company. Shelly earns money by spreading her legs or kneeling on her knees, sucking dick. Shelly whores herself out to keep both Allie and Allie’s …

Review: The 18th Floor

The 18th Floor by Margie Church

My rating: 2.5 of 5 stars

Fantasy becomes reality when Alexa screws Sebastian Law in a conference room at work. Alexa is a workaholic who lusts after Sebastian. She is no different than any other woman at the office who would want to bang Sebastian on a desk, against the wall or out in the open to claim her territory. She is different than others since Sebastian returns her desire.

Sexy Sebastian wants Alexa and makes his move. The naughty duo copulates with illicit delight – they may be caught but they don’t care. Both seem to flaunt their exhibitionist flag. This is demonstrated quite clearly as Sebastian woos Alexa on a boat in front of his swinging BDSM friends. They give a glorious show with nudity, sweat and rutting.

The characters in this book are okay. Neither one of them is complex. They are easily understandable with the typical baggage consisting of clingy ex-girlfriend and stalker ex-boyfriend. The sex the two experience is kinky…

Review: Deadlocked

Deadlocked by Charlaine Harris

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

What kind of travesty is this one? This is better than the last book where Eric came across as a useless pussy. In this one, Eric comes across as a helpless WHINY pussy. Where is the alpha Eric we've come to know and love? Sookie is becoming more and more cold blooded. Or perhaps it's just that she's becoming more practical.

By now, Sookie should realize vampires are not for her. Sure, their quiet minds are relaxing, but she could get this from a were. She should be with Sam. Sure, he's not exciting and he's not as great a lover as Bill or Eric, but it's better than what she's been dealt. Does Ms. Harris even know where she's going here with Sookie and her love life? Because it certainly doesn't come across this way.

Is this the end of the fae part in this? Will Sookie have more powers? There are so many open ended questions here in this book. This book didn't do anything bu…

Review: Kerana - Slave of Atlantis

Kerana - Slave of Atlantis by Lindsey Brooks

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Kerana is a mercenary who's been a thorn in the King's side. She's easily stolen thousands of gold coins from him. In addition, she leads a pack of men to attack caravans and sell slaves at will. Sure the slaves are women, but who cares? These women are weak, pitiful and poor excuses since they were caught or sold off by their family. It's not as if she would ever be caught and turned into a slave. She can best any of the men with her sword. The worst for her would be the dead or alive bounty on her head from the King. She's only taunted and robbed him for the past five years.

What Kerana didn't expect was betrayal from her own merry group of men. Frankly, after reading how she felt like an outcast, it's not surprising. She is rather naive and stupid about it. The men don't care and respect her; they just want to rape her. Well, one wants to defile and then rob her of all her…

Review: Lust Plague

Lust Plague by Cari Silverwood

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Sex crazed zombies rising, a frankenstruct with a dangerous temper and a plague inducing lust storming across the lands, what more can obstruct Kaysana's mission? It appears even Captain Kaysana is an obstacle for herself. While she hasn't been infected and turned into a mindless zombie, she does become a horny sex fiend. This puts a damper on her quest to ground zero, where the zombies are coming from.

Kaysana is aided by Sten, a handsome frankenstruct. In this world, even if frankenstructs – clones - are now free with human rights, most humans still despise them. Even animals are treated more humanely than frankenstructs. Kaysana fights her attraction to Sten due to her murky past. However, her irrational hatred of frankenstructs does not stop her from spreading her legs. She blames the unexplained viral infection, but in reality, Sten is irresistible.

Sten is the best character in this story. He's an alpha male who …

Review: The ASH Stories: Remote Controller

The ASH Stories: Remote Controller by Samantha Washborne

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

In part two of the Assessment series, Ashley has passed the exam and she's been selected for trial tests. This story is more of a teaser. The reader learns exactly what Ashley has gotten herself into. It's not bad per se, but quite amusing. Nanobots with orgasm control, how can this be anything but embarrassing? Public display is a delightful fetish and this installments sets the reader up for the next one. Can't wait to read about Ashley's sexual trial for the next few months. Will she be able to recover? Will she be able to take it? What kind of deviant desires will emerge? Inquiring minds want to know.

The bonus story - The Spark is deliciously hot! Not to give it away, but it is a robot sex twist to turn any techno-geek on. Using a red-headed sex bot for some delicious f/f definitely raises the heat. Hope to see the next upgrade for the operating system to 1.7. If Ms. Wa…

Review: The ASH Stories: The Assessment

The ASH Stories: The Assessment by Samantha Washborne

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Ashley is a submissive sweet girl who gets in a bit over her head. She's approached to participate in an experiment which explores sexuality. Little does she know what this all entails. This first part is sensual and sweet as the reader learns about Ashley and enjoys a bit of medical play involving some smexy f/f.

The bonus story - Shut Down, Turned On is delightful. The role playing between Gina and her husband is believable, kinky and tastefully arousing. Ms. Washborne incorporates robot technology into a sexy time for the loving couple. Gina's husband easily turns up the heat when he powers down Gina from her work day and starts up the sexbot application - creatively perverted and wildly sexy. This short story is recommended for erotic readers who enjoy a bit of spice to their story.

Review: Cast in Peril

Cast in Peril by Michelle Sagara West

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Cast in Peril starts up right after the ending of Cast in Ruins. Kaylin's life does not take a break. Her lovely roommate is still happily living with her. Bellusdeo is determined to stay with Kaylin. This abruptly ends when Kaylin's home is blown up. Not believing it could get worse, Kaylin is proven wrong. The only bright side is the answer to the egg she's been protecting.

Crime does not cease, the now homeless Kaylin still continues to work on cases. Kaylin and Severn are partnered together again to determine why the humans are disappearing from different fiefs. What they find is startling and casts Nightshade into a negative light. This does not stop the Hawklord from agreeing to pay for the information Nightshade offers in a critical investigation. Unfortunately, the payment is Kaylin's time for at least eight weeks, to travel to the West March.

This is unfortunate as this involves the poli…

Review: False Pretenses

False Pretenses by Cara Bristol

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

By day, boring insurance claim call center operator, by night, Emma Dupree is the titillating undercover journalist. Fighting for journalistic credibility, Emma Dupree finds the perfect investigative article to jettison her into writing full time instead of moonlighting on the side. Review: Cast in Ruin

Cast in Ruin by Michelle Sagara West

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

No one can insert their foot into mouth like Private Kaylin Neya. She is truly gifted at how she can drive the stick further up the asses of these pompous and arrogant Dragons. It's truly a delight to watch her struggle against saying what is on her mind. While she's becoming better at biting her tongue, her body language is as loud as a Dragon conversation. Poor Kaylin!

In this latest installment, the "People" are settling down into their new world. These giant 8 feet tall "other" scare those in Elantra. Their help in holding strong against the Shadow is welcome. Now there is something new happening in Lord Tiamaris' fife aka his hoard. The same woman has been found dead, seven times. With Kaylin's help, it is discovered they are not human. It has the Dragon Lords in an uproar.

It's amusing to see these male dragons posture and beat their proverbial chests. Kaylin is the on…

Review: Safewords Davenport and Chiffon

Safewords Davenport and Chiffon by Candace Blevins

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Dana continues her Domme journey with Jacob as well as her sub journey with Zach. Based on the emotional upheavals in the first of this two part series, one would expect this book to be a smooth smexy sailing of sadistic scenes. This would be a false assumption.

A happily ever after story is basically when the author decides to end the story. Usually, this is after a happy event. Ms. Blevins appears to enjoy taking the long and winding road which also happens to be an emotional roller-coaster. While Dana is finally reconciled with her past, now Zach's wounds from his past are torn open. His method of handling it, is quite understandable. His choice of words on the other hand, are easily misinterpreted by a fragile Dana.

If this book is designed to cause heartbreak, it succeeded. The happily ever after evaporates in an explosive meltdown which was unpredicted and throws the reader into a loop. There…

Review: Cuckold Erotica

Cuckold Erotica by Audrey Bocklin

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This one is one I had difficulty rating. The stories are a bit disjointed as the main story is separated by some lighter random stories. The main story is "Losing Sarah". Cokie and the Julie ones were almost non sequitur and rather distracting from the overall book.

On a hotness scale for Losing Sarah it is probably a 5. It's guiltily arousing. Sarah is an erotic writer who ropes her loving husband, Greg into a game which doesn't really seem like a game. The degradations visited upon Greg are horrendous and infuriating at times. The issue is, Greg isn't really into this. The emotional scarring and damage in this story is not something I find enjoyable. For this "gaming" piece I give it a 1 star. I really hated the characters.

Sarah is a lying slut cunt who doesn't deserve Greg. It's not a game. She's a bitch who wants her cake and eat it too. The couple she gets them invo…

Review: Safe Haven: An Age Play Spanking Romance

Safe Haven: An Age Play Spanking Romance by Alice Liddell

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Cassie is a complete hot mess. She can't get her life together and requires a Daddy to keep her in line. This is not my favourite type of trope were the little one is basically a moron. It's not that she's stupid - she's a 29 year old going for her pre-med. It's the fact that she has no self control or discipline.

This is aggravating to me. It does make her a good candidate for being a little one for her Daddy, Roy. Roy is a daddy who is fair and constantly disappointed by Cassie's disobedience. This story is hawt in her punishments. It would be nice to read a bit more of her punishments as this child will need to be disciplined daily. She's also just starting anal training which is a favourite.

The dress up parts of this story is hawt. How she's treated and resentful of some of the lessons are delightful. This is a decent ageplay story with smexy fun and a bi…

Review: The Siren

The Siren by Tiffany Reisz

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Nora is a trashy porn hack posing as an erotic writer. This is how Zach feels. Zach is the editor assigned to read Nora's book and make it publishable. What is the world coming to when a distinguished literary editor is forced to truck with some guttersnipe?

This book is the first in the series, even though a novella exposing Nora's relationship with a Dom gave a preview of her complicated life. With much trepidation and under duress, this book was finally read. Fully prepared to hate the book due to a relationship which is considered sacrilegious, this reader started on page one with righteous indignation. Within the first few paragraphs, the book completely sucks the reader into a world of heartbreak, need and moral questions.

Ms. Reisz creates a multi-level story filled with deeper meaning as well as complex characters. Her usage of words and concepts hold hidden meanings that appeal to a thinking mind. There is a con…

Review: Blade Song

Blade Song by J.C. Daniels

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Being a half-breed of any kind is rarely a bonus. For Kit, it definitely made her life miserable. Orphaned at a young age, she's raised by a sadistic grandmother and uncaring aunts. For Kit, what doesn't kill her, only makes her stronger. As a private investigator of sorts, she ekes out a living solving problems. For the pass six years, there have been bets placed that a puny human will not survive the year. Kit confounds them all and perseveres.

Kit is a survivor. She's been excessively physically and emotionally abused. For her to be able to be walking and functioning is pretty amazing. Her life is complicated by two men who want to possess and own her. Jude is the blood sucking leech who steals into her dreams. Damon is an enforcer of the cat shifters.

The premise of this story is interesting. We have a partially magical creature, Kit, who is trying to find a missing cat shifter. Through her investigative …

Review: Amanda Von Steuben

Amanda Von Steuben by Anne Randolph

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This is a 3.5 star. It doesn't quite make it to 4 because there wasn't enough humiliation in it. This is a tightly written story with a bit of world building. The characters aren't really developed, but the actually sex scenes were hot. Regardless, Ms. Randolph's writing voice is engaging and her descriptions vivid.

The medical parts were tasty and were a bit too scant for my tastes. If there were a bit more torturing of the pampered princess, it would have rated higher. What would really be nice is to read a second book where Amanda now has a nurse. It would be lovely to have her return to the "nursery" until she learns her wifely duties. Of course, it would be lovely to have her loving husband there to oversee each punishment and revel in her humiliation.

Amanda is a flapper dressing cock tease who puts outs but doesn't deliver. Her pampered and whiny ways need strict correction and …

Review: Bound Temptations

Bound Temptations by Shiloh Walker

My rating: 3.5 of 5 stars

Tempt Me

Ms. Walker never fails to move the heart with her characters. There are two stories in this book.  The first one is Tempt Me which is the more sensual of the two.  Beg me is a bit edgier with some dubious consensual elements.  Tempt me is four stars.  Beg me is three stars which gives this book an average of 3.5 stars.

In Tempt Me, readers meet and fall in love with Lush. She's strong, admirable and so sexy. The sensual lingerie store she opened was great and inspires one to find a place that sells corsets.  Lush is not only the owner, but the designer of said sexy clothing.  Cole meets Lush which ends his current engagement.

The sparks between Rocki (Lush) and Cole were great to watch. Cole is a dream man. This short story of their romance hit all the right buttons. Ms. Walker's stories keep me engaged and unable to put down the story until it ends. This story is recommended to romance lovers who love a bit…
