Review: Painting Fire on the Air

Painting Fire on the Air by J.P. Barnaby

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Can a person who is not into BDSM be turned into a dominant? This is the question Ms Barnaby tackles.

Ben Martin is a painslut who uses BDSM as a band-aid for the emotional issues he refuses to face. The pain of the body helps him reset and keep his nightmares at bay. His service Dom, Kage, is good at pushing the boundaries and providing the pain Ben needs.

First, let's get the items that I didn't like about this book out of the way. I don't like stories where the submissive uses BDSM as self-therapy to hide from addressing their problems. Second, I do not like stories which drag a vanilla person into the lifestyle and the person miraculously becomes a perfect Dominant to an experienced submissive. Both of these are hot buttons for me. So why does this story still rate a four star? Is it the passionate man-love? No. Is it the amazing BDSM scenes? No, although that does play a part in the rating.

What made thi…

Review: Little Prick

Little Prick by Zenina Masters

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Porcupine and honey badger shifters, what is the paranormal romance world coming to? Can it get any more ridiculous with these oddball shifters? Not sure what to expect, this reader examined this book with an eye searching for ludicrous writing. Instead of silliness, the story completely captured my attention. Why haven't I read this series earlier? I just started reading this series at book 9? Obviously, I've been missing out.

Pansy is a porcupine shifter in a family of wolf shifters. The reason why she is completely different is quite a moving story. In a very short time, Ms Masters creates an easy to understand world of shifters, fae and the mating call. The characters are adorable. The story is smooth and tightly written. It can also be read as a standalone. Each of these books in the series can be read by itself and in any order. The only common thread is this "Crossroads" place where shifters getting seriou…

Review: Overture: Doc

Overture: Doc by S.L. Armstrong

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This is where it started for the young innocent John.

John is the doctor who services Dorian in more than one way. As a young man, his friend Cynthia pimps it out to Dorian.

This short story is a smexy scene of seduction. There is no way John can resist Dorian's corrupt influence. This is a nice little bonus glimpse into the life of Dorian Gray. He truly is a hedonist.

Review: Safeword Rainbow -- 2013 extended edition

Safeword Rainbow -- 2013 extended edition by Candace Blevins

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was my first book by Ms. Blevins I read. Back then, I didn't have as much edgeplay experience and my limits were still quite a plenty. Years later, a bit more experienced with BDSM and into sadistic BDSM, I return to read an extended version. This version is definitely a pleasure to read. To see Ms. Blevins' writing maturity is another pleasure.

In this story, the sadism is a bit too much for me. Even after these past few years, I still cringe at the intense impact play. The things Tyler does to Viv makes me shudder and shiver, sometimes in lust. Sometimes it is in fear. Previously, if I had read about no safeword, I'd have been hopping mad. Now after a bit more experience, I'm fine with the no safeword. I've played without one and it was a mind blowing experience. This is why I can understand both Viv's fear yet excitement.

What is interesting in this on…

Review: Breeder

Breeder by Cara Bristol

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a winner. Ms Bristol pounces into the space opera genre with a delightful domestic discipline story.

Omra is a female from the Planet Parseon. As all females, they are kept as breeders. She's been abused and starved while waiting for a male to buy her and breed her. Commander Dak spies her dirty cringing form at the back of a cell. He purchases her and so begins his world turning upside down.

The world building in this story is good. The Parseon culture is very unbalanced and it's interesting to learn why. It's also interesting how much of the sexual orientation is focused on m/m. As a m/m reader, this is an odd twist. Ms Bristol does a fine job of creating a complete story without any cliffhangers. While there are some outstanding questions about the world, my guess is the information will be revealed in the next book in the series. This is good because it hooks the reader in and makes them want to read the next book…

Review: The Warlord's Comeuppance

The Warlord's Comeuppance by Gail Koger

My rating: 3.5 of 5 stars

Zarek is a male I'd probably not want to confront. However, in book two, he's not as scary alpha male so I can understand why Detja is a bit irreverent with him. This story is a fast and easy read. I found Detja to be kind of homicidal female. I like this about her. It's all kill, blow up and kill.

This story is not as jam packed as the first story, but it's still fast paced. Detja tends to bring the worst out of males. They want to kill her. Well, actually, they want to either fuck her or kill her. If they can't do one, then they do the other. The sex in this story is not as prevalent and it's fine. I do enjoy the ghost hands. Phantom sex is awesome. Although I recommend Zarek to spend more time smacking Detja's ass both from his ghost and real hands. She needs it.

While I understood Detja, she didn't do much for me. Her hacking skills were a fun touch as were her …

BDSM Bedtime Stories Season Two Episode Twenty-Five ~ Kele Moon

Merry Christmas!  Today we have a very exclusive preview from the yet to be published Claiming Eden by Kele Moon.  This is narrated by Sirly Eric.  We also have a short little interview. Enjoy!

La Crimson Femme: There is a rumour that the Domme in the 3rd Eden book is based on someone you've met.Is this true? Can you tell us more about this woman?
Kele Moon: Yes, I would say a lot of Circe was based on my friend. She was my first REAL introduction into BDSM. I went to visit her and while I was there she took me out to lunch with one of her subs, who was this very wealthy, very put together guy who sat there over tapas and told me, “When I was young, I used to like bad girls and when I got older it just turned into bad girls doing bad things to me.”
And the first concept of Paul was born.
I was fascinated by the upper class BDSM and Swinger circles my friend swings in. . . Lawyers, Doctors, a lot of politicians and such. . . And her gift to the world is she doesn’t judge. . . She tr…

Review: Just My Luck

Just My Luck by Gail Koger

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Oh good lord I laughed so hard at a few of the scenes. I nearly woke my sleeping husband up. Ms. Koger is definitely a must buy author. Her sense of humour is off the wall and just my kind. I bought this book a year ago and for some unknown reason, never read it. It's probably because it wasn't kinky sex - or what I consider kinky sex. After reading the 3rd book in this series, I went back to read this one.

Kaylee Jones is a walking trouble magnet. She should be locked up for other people's safety! I can't believe all the shit that happens to her. She's a walking cluster fuck. It's hilarious yet sad. It's funny because she gets into these crazy situations which will give everyone in her family white hairs. Or the males will go bald from pulling out all their hair. Ms. Koger creates a great kick ass female lead who won't let anything get her down. She will come up with ways to find a solutio…

Review: The Riding School

The Riding School by C.P. Mandara

My rating: 3.5 of 5 stars

Not sure what to expect, I dived into this book and enjoyed it. I rate it 3.5 star and it's one for pony-girl lovers. Ms. Mandara is a new to me author. She writes a wickedly fun tale of non-con slavery.

Jenny is a spoiled brat who spends her daddy's money. Unfortunately for her, her daddy's fed up and sends her off for some schooling. What she doesn't know is that it's a "pony" girl school.

The scenes in here are smoking hawt. The story is tightly written with just the right outrage from the unsuspecting Jenny. The staff at the Albrecht Stables are perfect. I loved the fitting scene. It is deliciously depraved. I enjoyed every little detail. Ms. Mandara does a great job of stripping Jenny and turning her into a vulnerable little girl. Delightful!

This teasing story is just the beginning and I can't wait to read the next ones in this series. Ms. Mandara is creative and incorpor…

Review: Unhinge the Universe

Unhinge the Universe by Aleksandr Voinov

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

How can a reader find goodness in a SS officer? In Unhinge the Universe, Mr. Voinov unhinges the world and turns it upside down. It is said that the victors are the ones who write history. There is some truth to this saying. Hagen Friedrichs is a SS lieutenant on a mission to save his brother. In the process, his world is completely destroyed. He is captured by Captain John Nicholls who is an American with good interrogation skills.

John is tired of war. A top German agent is delivered to him for interrogation. Before he can complete his mission, it becomes FUBAR. Trying to salvage the situation, Hagen falls into his arms, literally. From here, the story takes an odd turn. For those looking for a sadistic physically torture session, this is not the book to read. John's game is more insidious with mind games to break Hagen. Hagen is caught off guard as he's expecting to be beaten and ass raped for i…

Review: Do Or Die

Do Or Die by Suzanne Brockmann

My rating: 3.5 of 5 stars

Ms. Brockmann is back with a great new romantic suspense series. I liked this book and it's a 3.5 star. The story starts out with Ian in jail. It's interesting when Ms. Brockmann makes the male lead an anti-hero. Ian comes across as a criminal, but he is so much more. There are plans within plans in this tale. I find that interesting and it kept my attention. I read this book in one sitting and when I finished it, I was happy.

Happy because the romantic element is realistic. Happy because the suspense kept me worrying about a positive outcome. I liked how the best laid plans went sideways. Watching how the characters needed to think on their feet and adjust their direction is fascinating. Many a times, the situation was definitely FUBAR. I couple of cluster fucks made me want to smack Phoebe over the head.

Phoebe as a character is amusing. She is like most civilians who don't think bad things will happ…

BDSM Bedtime Stories Season Two Episode Twenty-Four ~ Jack L. Pyke

Antidote by Jack L. Pyke is a delicious follow up!  Are you ready for some hawt smexy reading by Sirly Eric?  Then click play!  After you listen, Jack, Gray and Trace drop by for a little fun interview.

La Crimson Femme: Why are you shifting uncomfortably?
Jack: You see Gray and Trace hiding in the shadows over there? You see what they’re passing between each other? It’s fucking sadists unitein that corner.
La Crimson Femme: *tilts head to the right and looks at Gray* You mean the remote control? What’s that for?
Jack: My ass.
Gray: His mouth.
Trace: Shuttin’ up his swearing via his ass. Get it right, peaches.
La Crimson Femme: Huh.  *rubs hands gleefully* What have they put up your ass to curb your language, Jack? Is it a vibrating butt plug? *bounces in seat and claps hands*
Jack: Put nothing up there.
Gray: Nothing?
Jack:*feels a deep hum in ass and groans, shifting in his seat* Fuck. Vibrator -- vibrating butt plug, okay.
Trace: Just loosened Gray’s boy up for you, darlin’. Don’t hurt hi…

Review: Tales of a Nympho Humiliation Pain Slut Volume 7

Tales of a Nympho Humiliation Pain Slut Volume 7 by Breanne Erickson

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I never know what to think when I read one of Ms. Erickson's books. Sometimes I think she needs to be committed and other times I think she must spend a lot of money on first aid kits. I think I might be done with her NHPS books. In the past three years, as her book relate, she's enjoy quite a lot of sex. While the orgasm are very good, the toll on her body is quite high.

Here's the thing. These volumes are Chronicles of her kinky sex life. She has many "masters" and "mistresses" who send her assignments. These assignments are intense edgeplay and fucked up. FUCKED UP. I read through her experiences and I'm just shaking my head and thinking she's one tough broad. Now, of course she does say she does take some literary license to make the story flow better. I'm really hoping she takes a LOT of literary license in some of these scenes.
