Review: There's a Way: A Paranormal Rockstar Romance

There's a Way: A Paranormal Rockstar Romance

There's a Way: A Paranormal Rockstar Romance by Candace Blevins
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Following right up after "Where there's a Will", we dive right back into Will and Davy's relationship.  This book should be read after the first book.  I do not recommend reading this book as a standalone. In the previous book, we know that Will wants a third for him and Davy. I was mixed about the way Will went for a third.  Plus I'm not sure I agree that Davy should be in a relationship that has a 3rd in it.  Why?  Because of Davy's history and how he's always an "afterthought".  I struggled with that in the last book and I continued to struggle in this one.  Even if the 3rd is perfect for Will and good for Davy, I'm still a little torn for "second place" Davy.

This book features the third and it is more her book than Will and Davy.  They are secondary pictures as the 3rd shows up.  I can honestly say that I was not surprised by the person who showed up.  It is someone who was barely mentioned in the last book and for some reason it caught my attention and I thought... I wonder if she will show up again as Will's female part in this triad.  What I did like is that she has a good relationship with Davy and he is a priority for her. Since Davy also prefers to be a slave, but not 24/7 TPE, they make it work. There are a couple of subplots going on that I am curious about and wonder what will happen.  We shall see in the next books following.

When it comes to BDSM, once again this story is hella delicious.  The sexy scenes are not for the faint of heart.  There are several memorable scenes that knocked my sock off.  For those who enjoy it kinky and intense, make sure your batteries are fresh and you will be well covered.

What I enjoyed most about this book is the connections.  For readers who enjoy a supportive community and who loves to see acceptance of all forms, this series does it all.  Ms. Blevins does a great job of showing how people can have different view points and perspectives yet still respect each other and continue to be friends.  This erotic romance is recommended for readers who enjoy complicated relationships with extra spice!
