Review: The Voyeur

The Voyeur
The Voyeur by Kay Jaybee

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Anya is pulled into a world of sexual sadism when she accepts a job with Mark Parker as his personal assistant. Anya is paired with a woman of her choosing, Clara. Clara is hired to be the housekeeper for Mark Parker. Whilst completing their day jobs, Mark puts them through a series of his fantasies. To date, there have been twelve fantasies which he records and then rates them.

The book starts out with Fantasy twelve and it’s a rough gangbanging delight in the decadent club Discreet. Anya is given away to be done with as anyone wishes. Before anyone uses her, she’s fitted with both a penis gag sticking out of her mouth and a blindfold. Hours pass as men and women beat, lick, suck, fuck and spank her. How Anya does not go out of her mind with the sensory overload, it is anyone’s guess. Clara is not left alone to watch. Instead, she’s been gifted to the club owner as a decoration for his private dinner party. She doubles as dessert.

The BDSM scenes in this story are blazing hot, one right after another. One could pose that this is merely one long gratuitous sex scene from start to end. This would be a wrong conclusion. Ms. Jaybee starts out with a bang and then delivers a conspiracy which explains the entire story. Even if the reader is frustrated with Mark at the beginning because he seems to set the girls up for failure, as the story unfolds, glimpses of Mark’s humanity reassures the reader. Mark truly adores both Anya and Clara. He wants the best for both of them and he is playing for keeps. His devious mind almost catches him and sets his girls to be taken from him. All of the sexual submission and training is for a purpose. It is for his final fantasy thirteen. Thirteen is quite the arduous one.

While many of these sex marathons require suspension of reality, they are blazing hot imagery. The variations of sexual interludes and BDSM positions are shown very well. A reader definitely feels as though they are a voyeur, watching in the same room as the carnal acts unfold. Ms. Kaybee demonstrates her ability to turn up the heat while weaving a tale of intrigue. She creates characters that are neither good nor bad. At first glance, it seems there are several evil villains. Once the secrets are uncovered, the antagonist’s motivations become clear and it’s hard to find fault. Whilst one may feel pity and perhaps some disgust, it’s apparent that many of these minions are merely puppets being pulled by a sadistic deviant puppet master. This BDSM feast is recommend for kinky readers who love the sadistic fantasy side of BDSM.
