Review: Lady Doctor Wyre
Lady Doctor Wyre by Joely Sue Burkhart
My rating: 3.5 of 5 stars
An aristocratic lady on the run who happens to be an amazing scientist? Remind me why it has taken so long to read this book? This short story is a quick and riveting read. I sucked it down in about an hour and craved for more. Fortunately, I have the next book in this series in my hot little hands.
Lady Wyre is on the run from the Queen of Britainia. As the saying goes, absolute power corrupts absolutely. The Queen who was once saved by the brilliant Lady Wyre now wants to Lady Wyre dead. This bit of assignation plot always gets my blood flowing with excitement. How does the prey avoid being caught?
Lady Wyre is quite wily as she piles her feminine wiles. There are two luscious men dancing to her attendance. The notorious bad boy Lord Regret is a perfect killing machine. His life line tied to Lady Wyre, he serves her willingly, even if it is tied up as she rides him hard. His counterpoint is the sweet good boy Masters. He's a delightful addition to this dangerous duo. Now these three are tantalizing threesome! How did I miss the menage in this story? If I had known, I'd have read it faster. The only draw back is the menage is a m/f/m, not a m/m/f. Ah well, I guess I can't have everything.
This cyberpunk space opera is recommended to kinky menage lovers.
