Review: Bratty Angel
Bratty Angel by Chris T. Kat
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Pleasuring a "lovestick" is on the top of the to-do list for a bratty angel. This angel is fixated on Patrick and wants a reward from Patrick's lovestick. Patrick is not have a good day. All he wants is a eat his greasy fast food in peace. Unfortunately for him, he's being chased by a hellhound. Luckily, he's saved by an angel. A very bratty angel who makes demands upon Patrick and pouts when he doesn't get his way.
Is there a book before this one? Because to a reader, it may feel as though they have been dropped into the middle of the second act of a play. This is purposely done and the reader can easily catch on after the first couple of chapters. Still, it may be annoying and it's not my favourite type of writing style.
This story is humorous, kinky and sweet all rolled up into one. The descriptions are vivid and make the story quite enjoyable. I can see the blushing of the angel's white wings just as I can visualize the bursting of black leathery wings from Patrick's back. What I would like is both a prequel and sequel to this book. How did Patrick and his angel meet? How did everything come to be? Explain more about this world filled with shifters, demons and angels. What is this prophecy and what will happen? This book raises so many questions and leaves too many threads dangling and enticing a reader.
The bratty angel is too adorable. How frustrating the "angel" is to Patrick, is quite amusing. The character dialog and interaction is what makes this story so enjoyable. When the "big reveal" occurs, it includes some hawt sexy time. Seriously, why isn't Patrick's devilish tail used in this sexy show of ownership? The ending does feel rushed but it ends in a happy note. A reader can only hope there will be a follow up to this story. Recommended for m/m romance readers who enjoy lovers reuniting.
