No Master Blog Tour and Interview
Hello, my name is Christine d’Abo! Thank
you so much for having me here on the blog today.
There’s something special about the last
book in a series. In the case of my Bounty series, I wanted to explore a
character that held more power than some of the previous characters. Korbin,
the Admiral of the Black is the de facto leader of the space pirates; a
dangerous man who is not to be trifled with. The only man to come close is
Zain, the Admiral’s second in command and the one person who knows all of his
secrets.
Too bad for Korbin, Zain has more than a
few secrets of his own.
I loved playing with the master/slave
dynamic with these two men. The power exchange in their professional lives
becomes confused when they must take things to the next level. Zain’s past as a
freed sex slave makes every interaction with Korbin painful when they are forced
to pretend to be master and slave. It forces them to confront their feelings
for one another, something they wouldn’t otherwise have done.
Not to mention the sex.
Did I mention the sex?
Yeah…it’s pretty hot. J

INTERVIEW with Christine D'abo
La Crimson Femme: Given a choice – do you prefer happily ever afters or dark
bittersweet endings in a books you read?
Christine d’Abo: Personally, I need to have my happily ever afters when I’m
reading a romance. There is so much hardship and negativity in the world right
now, I need that little boost of positivity, of love and optimism that I get
from reading a romance.
La Crimson Femme: A little sweetness can go a long way. Speaking of sweet, which tastes better to
you? Gelato or Custard ice cream?
Christine d’Abo: Oh…I have to pick? Umm…I’m going to have to go with
custard ice cream. Now don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with a nice
gelato after a big meal. It can be refreshing and a great palette
cleanser. But if I’m going for a
straight up dessert, then it will be the richest ice cream I can find. Which I
will then pay for because I can’t really have dairy LOL!
La Crimson Femme: Mmm, custard is rich and creamy. I confess, it is hard to pick just one. When writing kinky scenes and you get stuck,
what do you use for inspiration to “get over the hump”?
Christine d’Abo: This might be a bit of a boring answer, but I will normally
go back and watch a movie that has high-sexual tension. For me the kinky scenes
are only as erotic as the tension that is built between the characters. A ruler
can be more erotic than a paddle in the hands of the right person saying the
right things. So I go back and study the actors who I feel really nail that
erotic attitude and do my best to try and capture their expressions and tone of
voice.
La Crimson Femme: Wow, that does not sound boring at all. So, who is the sexiest actor (male or female)
you would want to spend a weekend with and why.
Christine d’Abo: This might not be the most popular choice, but I would
totally want to spend a weekend with Mads Mikkelsen. There’s just something
about him…
A
nice bottle of wine, some discussions heavily laced with innuendo. Yeah, that
would be a good time right there.
La Crimson Femme: I can see the appeal of Mads Mikelsen. It is a bit dangerous if he decided to “be in
character” in the show he’s most famous for…
*winks* Last question - what is one place you’d like
to visit on your bucket list and why?
Christine d’Abo: I’ve been lucky enough to travel to several cool places
around the world. One place that I haven’t hit yet is Iceland. My husband went
five years ago, and hasn’t stopped talking about it since then. Once my kids
fly the nest, we plan to go for a trip.

No man in the galaxy inspires more fear than Korbin, the Admiral
of the Black. His life as leader of the biggest pirate band in space leaves
little room for trust, so when Korbin’s second-in-command disappears without a
trace, he suspects the worst.
Zain Strand has left his life as a sex slave behind and risen
within the pirate ranks. But he abandons it all to rescue an old friend from
recapture by the slavers—even if that means a suicidal confrontation with his
old master. He doesn’t expect Korbin’s arrival, doesn’t want Korbin’s help . .
. but Korbin gives Zain no choice.
Posing as master and slave to infiltrate a slave auction, Korbin
and Zain embark on a journey of lust that rapidly reveals their deeper
feelings. When Zain’s old master discovers their ruse, Korbin must do
everything in his power to save both their lives and their newfound love.

should be read in order, this book stands alone and can be read without the
first two.
