Kink it up with book three! This third and possibly the final installment in this series can be read as a standalone. The formula for this book is the same. There are two men who need a mate to save them and break a curse. The first book was fire related. The second book can loosely be air related. This third one seems to be earth related. My OCD wants at least a fourth book to be water related. My psychosis aside, this story features Kragen and Jaxon who are basically death dealers in wolf form. They are a clan that is the definition of misogyny. What is it with arrogant males in this series? For that matter, why do alpha males have to be so clueless in Ms. Penn's books? Her men seem to all be pretty much idiots when it comes to the fairer sex. Their double standards are deplorable. Still, it makes for an easy love to hate feeling for these bad boys.

Kragen and Jaxon are the alphas for the Jaris pack. When they are accidentally be-spelled by witches, they come across their mate, Jezlin. Jezlin is the responsible sister of three. Constantly set to clean up the messes of her sisters, this latest one is a major disaster. She has to fall on the sword for them and be taken to the Jaris pack as a sacrifice. This begins the not so funny comedy of two men trying to win their mate's heart without coming across as pussy whipped. Seriously, this is so dysfunctional it makes me want to scream. Then I have to remember many people in real life are like this which just baffles me. Does art mimic life or vice versa in this screwed up mating dance? Jezlin is the only adult in this book. Dumb and dumber are clueless to all the pain they cause their mate. And they don't give her enough credit.

This book had a better plot than the previous and I wish it was more developed. It felt rushed as evident with a couple of threads that were left hanging. Specifically the jealous women never materialized as even an after thought threat. The set up was there but the actual mischief caused by jealous and spiteful women did not cause even a bit of disturbance. It was more like an annoying fruit fly, easily squashed.

From an erotic point, this is what saved the book for me. I can be bribed with kinky sex. This one had just enough to whet my appetite. Who doesn't enjoy a bit of flogging and erotic power exchange? Sometimes, make up sex is the only way to get out of the dog house. I foresee a lot of make up sex for Kragen and Jaxon. This paranormal erotica is recommended to kinky menage readers who have a fondness for thickheaded alpha males.
