Review: Dragonfire

Dragonfire Dragonfire by Donna Grant
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Dragons, gypsies and prophecies … oh my! Sabrina lives with just her brother hidden in the mountains. She and her brother are the last guardians of a prophecy her family has passed down for generations. It is really up to Sabrina as the one to see this through, either fulling the prophecy or bear a child. Because her brother is not exactly all there. He sees things in a different way and comes across as a young child rather than an adult.

I'm not sure exactly how Sabrina thought her family's prophecy would be fulfilled. She avoids people. This means there is no way for her to meet a male to carry on her line, nor is there a way to find the person she needs to help. Still, magic is at work and this is when Roman finds her in her little hidden valley.

Luckily, Roman is drawn here and finds Sabrina. Between the two of them, they figure out Sabrina's purpose in Roman's life. I enjoyed the big reveals in this story. Finally the "Other's" is revealed a bit more. This story arc seems to be drawn out. The ones who want to bring down the Dragons and their motive is still unclear. It is clear that they are willing to do a lot to destroy a race who keeps their promises.

This is another lovely addition to the series. I look forward to each of these books to find out which dragon king will be next. And also to find out if the Dragons will win and bring back their loved clans. I don't think it looks good for Dragons on earth. They may need to find a new home and give up earth.

Recommended for romance readers who enjoy magic and love dragons.
