Review: Wolf Rebel

Wolf Rebel Wolf Rebel by Paige Tyler
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

What happens when you become the monster you've been hunting? When Knox Lawson wakes up from a bad injury, he realizes something is not right. What is worse is, maybe what he's been told about the monsters he has been hunting is wrong. Dead wrong. The only way he can figure out what to do is to find out more facts. This begins the hunt and chase between Rachel and Knox.

Rachel's world has been turned upside down since she's "changed". Finally finding some answers from her new job, she's still new to it all. Her original interaction with Knox was not the best, but she's willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. She's been where he is at now. The problem is, since he worked for the side trying to kill her and her kind, is he reformed or still a spy?

I enjoy this series for the suspense. The action packed story focuses more on the plot which keeps me interested and wanting to read more. The characters are likeable but a bit forgettable. They are all a bit similar with some minor variations here and there. The romantic element is light and gives it a bit of warmth. Ms. Tyler writing strength lays in her plot driven stories. For those who like action and or cop movies, this series with a paranormal twist will be up your alley. The only thing I wish is a bit more world building into the mythos. I'd like to learn a bit more about the other hunters, the other werewolves and to see if there is more to it. Even without this additional information, the suspense part of this book is great. Recommended to paranormal romance readers who enjoy a strong heroine, suspense and an enemies to lover theme.
