It has been a while since I read anything that is non-con kink.  This isn't technically BDSM because it doesn't follow the RACK or SSC tenants, but it is still thrown in there due to the kinky aspects of rough sex, floggings and a St. Andrew's cross.  

The set up of this story is straight forward as the book blurb denotes.  This is pretty much straight out kink porn for the spank bank.  Why did it get a 3 star?  Other than me easily bribed with hawt sex, even the porny kind?  It was concisely written with a nice flow from beginning to end.  There were no rambling tangents nor were there fade to black cock teasing scenes.  Whilst the characters may be flat and uncomplicated, I didn't read it for character development or world building.  

This kinky book is recommended for dark erotic readers who enjoy their non-con.
