Review: The Red Kiss
The Red Kiss by Drury Jamison
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I miss the publishing company, Loose ID. They supported and published some of the best BDSM and erotica around. This second book and follow up to Save Words, is another well written novel. Author Jamison incorporates mystery with the kink lifestyle in a riveting story. This story moves at a good pace and is a page turner for me.

Many times when it is a murder/mystery theme involved with kink, the book comes across as BDSM hostile. Or that the characters participating in BDSM are unstable and crazy. Fortunately, in this book, there is none of that. Instead, we see the all too often reality of a person losing their livelihood and being attacked for their lifestyle choice. Seneca is a woman whose brush with near death changed her. To be drawn back into the fray by her ex lover, John Book, an FBI agent is not her idea of fun.
John knows he made a mistake with Seneca. Maybe this investigation is a way to get his second chance. The reconnection also brings another investigative couple who are exploring the lifestyle. This foursome connecting is what it takes to solve the mystery and bring Seneca back to life.
The BDSM in here is erotic. The scenes are an accurate portrayal. I enjoyed this book thoroughly and recommended to readers who like second chance themes with kinky erotica.
As a side note, I did look to see if there were more in this series. Unfortunately, it seems the author is no longer writing. Most likely because his publishing house is no longer in business. This is a shame as Author Jamison showed great potential and brings a different voice to the kinky BDSM genre.
