Review: Dangerous Control

Dangerous Control Dangerous Control by Annabel Joseph
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Following right after the 2nd book in this series, this book is dark, intense and sadistic.  I love it.  This series can be read out of order.  Milo and Alice's book can be read as a standalone. This trilogy revolves around the Glitterkink club, The Gallery.

Milo and Alice have known each other for years.  Milo is a bit hesitant at first to become involved with Alice because she is his teacher's daughter.  How does one look at a revered teacher in the eye after sexually defiling his daughter?  But is it really defiling? Milo's dark desires initiates Alice's sexual journey into a world of erotic pleasure.  Things she never imagine come to life at Milo's seductive words, manner and hands.

What is a bit rough for me here is Milo's mixed view of his kink.  He revels in it yet he also holds an element of shame to it because he struggles to bring Alice fully into his world.  This flip flopping is dangerous for newbies into the kink world.  It confuses them, makes them question themselves and also sometimes makes them feel dirty, in a bad way.  These are all realistic situations which shows how complicated the lifestyle can be unless there is trust and communication.  Ms. Joseph excels at showing how trust is broken and then hard earned back.  It is through actions, not words.  When it comes to scenes unfolding through actions, Ms. Joseph always delivers.  There is little telling of what is happening.  Instead there are exquisite details of sexual play encompassing all the sense.  When it comes to sadistic and erotic dominants, there are few who create them as delicious as Ms. Joseph.  These dominants are definitely not heroes though.  More antiheroes who are the bad boys your parents warn you about.

The chemistry between Milo and Alice is fierce.  Their erotic power exchange is done in stages and arousing.  Alice falls under Milo's spell.  My bet is most submissives would love a go with Milo.  This erotic novel is recommended to kinky readers who want intimacy that bares the soul.
