Oh Annabel, how I adore your dark erotica. Kicking off the month of May (International Getting to Know Yourself month), this book may rev up the engine for kinky submissives. For those who imagine what it would be like to be part of an elite BDSM club with male dom in full effect, this is how Ms. Joseph sees it.
As with all Ms. Joseph books, there is a slight element of risk because this club, it operates with no safewords. When Devon brings Ella into the "fold" so to speak, he pushes her limits. The BDSM in this story is erotic and hawt. This is to be expected by Ms. Joseph. Whilst some of the scenes are romanticized a bit, they do stay true to what those in the lifestyle do. Ms. Joseph's real life experiences help bring forth hauntingly kinky scenes of D/s and SM. I love it. This book the second in the trilogy and can be read as a standalone. I read this book before the 1st one and had no issues following along.
This erotic novel is highly recommended to readers looking for intense intimacy between a dom and a sub.
