Review: Protecting His Own
Protecting His Own by Cherise Sinclair
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Healing takes time and Beth knows this better than most. A survivor of abuse, she is now happily married to Nolan. This story is a surprising one for me because I didn't expect Beth to show up in another book as the main feature. I am glad we returned to her story because I wanted to see what happened after the Happily Ever After. It is even better than expected.

One of the many things Beth's ex-husband took from her, was the ability to have children born of her own body. This doesn't mean that she can't be a mother. This tale is a moving one of how Beth finds the children born of her heart. The two little boys also find a protective mother in Beth. They also find a positive male role model in Nolan.
This story is a beautiful return to the Masters of Shadowlands. Showcasing that those in the lifestyle can have children and how they adjust to parenthood is a lovely perspective. This moving story is filled with the "feelz". This is nicely balanced with a bit of the erotic exchange we have come to know and love from Ms. Sinclair. This is another highly recommended Gateway to BDSM book.
