Come In From the Cold by Tymber Dalton
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book will hit you in the feels.  I love second change romances.  This one is one where all the best intentions may still be misconstrued.  Add to it broken families and promises, this is a heartachingly romance fraught with obstacles galore.

Connor and Douglas made a promise in their youth. Their experiences with religion caused both to find different paths.  Every profession has its good and bad people.  Unfortunately, when a person is in a position of power, specifically in the religious context, this bad person makes it even worse.  The violation is unforgivable for many.  For Connor, his abuse makes him completely turn away from religion.

So what does Ms. Dalton do?  Of course, she puts the love interest, Douglas into the priesthood.  On top of it, let's add a bit more salt into the would for Connor, give Douglas a ring and a little baby to boot.  Before Douglas can even share what has happened in the past 25 years, Connor is out the door and furious.  This conflict could feel contrived but it isn't.  The situation is all f-ed up but there is a reason for this madness and it only generates more tears and some good old fashion cathartic moments.

I love how Connor and Douglas find each other again and their life for the past couple of decades unfolds for each other.  This is a long time coming romance.  I loved the added kinkiness of it.  When it comes to pulling on the heartstrings, Ms. Dalton always delivers.  This erotic romance is recommended to mm readers who love angst and second chance romances.
