Snow: The Complete Erotic Series by Regina Grimm
When it comes to fairy-tales-retold, I cannot resist them. This new to me author, Regina Grimm brings forth a very sexy erotic reverse harem. This is why I'm featuring the tale on our Sexy Saturday selection. If you ever wondered what Snow White would do with 7 men, this book is for you. As a side note, I like the name of this author. Regina... Queen. Grimm, this story is definitely more aligned with the Brothers Grimm, not Disney.
The sex in here is good. The dwarves are thieves instead and I liked that change up too. I was a little surprised by the f/f sex. I liked it. The taboo of the women in the sexual frenzy made it even hotter. Even with the sex, different partners, evil mirrors, the sex was a bit tame for me. Yes, yes, I'm jaded. There is a good solid quantity and quality of it in here. It's just not kinky for me so it did not hold my attention as much. I did enjoy the surprise f/f scenes.
I liked how this erotic retelling stayed truer to the original story. I had forgotten about the comb and the corset. This is the first reinterpretation I have read in a long time that used both. I like that. I also enjoyed the liberties Ms. Grimm takes with the magic and how Snow White's father passes away. These are clever. I do wish there was a bit more exploration into the Queen as well as the mirror. There are hints to why the Queen is the way she is. There are inklings as to what is in the mirror and how it came about. It would be nice to see a little more of that and to have built the world a bit more.
As a little side note. I am terrible with both grammar and spelling. If I did not have the auto-correct, spell check, and Grammarly app turned on . . . my blog posts may have even more errors. Usually, I don't notice these too much in a book. However, in this book, there were several times that the wrong word was used and it did pull me out of the book. Examples are the blank instead of using blanket and course instead of coarse. My guess is that whatever editing software she uses may have inadvertently caused some of these. Just writing this post, my Grammarly app is stating that "coarse" is wrong and should be switched to course...
