Honestly, where are these parties?  I want to go attend some of these parties just to experience it. I probably would get jaded over time, but still, Ms. Dalton describes some fun times.  For Boyd, he is a Dom without a sub. These parties are good for play and may cheer him up a bit.  Then again, it seems Boyd is looking for some more intimacy especially as he is lusting after a no-no person.  Someone who works for him...

The premise of this story is pretty hawt.  Usually, we see the perspective from the subordinate that wants to get it on with their boss.  To see it from the boss's side that is also not a creepy power-play move is sweet. What I liked about this situation is how Ms. Dalton brings the reality of how workplace romances can be fraught with legal issues as well as reputation-damaging issues.  Sometimes it is an open secret and it is all fun and games until someone wants out of the relationship.  I have seen workplace hook-ups go up in flames.  It isn't pretty.  When an alternative lifestyle, as well as sexual preference, comes into play, it becomes even riskier.  I never really understood why either should matter at work, but for some reason it does.  

The kinky scenes in this erotica are delicious.  The blindfold and sweet Caleb getting dominated just rocks.  That's the extra 1/2 star for the incredibly sexy kink in this story.  It is Ms. Dalton so I know the kink is always going to be realistic and good.  This romance is a great start between Boyd and Caleb.  I felt like it was missing something which is why I didn't rate it a 4 star.  Come to find out, it's because their story isn't finished!  Spoiler alert for those who haven't read this book, their romance continues in the next book.  That review will be next week.  This erotic romance is recommended to kinky readers who like office romance themes.
