Review: Phantom in the Night

Phantom in the Night

Phantom in the Night by Sherrilyn Kenyon
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

In the mid-2000, I found Ms. Kenyon and never looked back.  I read everything she wrote.  Since she is prolific, this meant so many books to buy.  This series which didn't last long seemed to be her foray into romantic suspense.  There is a little less angst and a little more sexy times!

This "BAD" agency is written as the trend started moving towards more LEO suspense with men either former military, or special covert spy groups.  I loved the concept and the story is sweet, if a bit forgettable.

The main characters are Terri and Nathan.  They keep crossing paths even though they are from different agencies.  They do meet in the middle and their slow romance gently smolders into a bit of heat.  Both of these characters have baggage.  It takes a little bit for them to get on the same page.  Once they do, it's sweetness.

This erotica suspense is a nice throwback of Ms. Kenyon's writing.  I love seeing how her writing style has changed.  It has become darker.  This is one of her lighter books.  Recommended for romantic suspense readers.
