Triad by Lauren Dane
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Back when Ellora's Cave was synonymous with steamy erotic romance, Ms. Dane was one of the authors I followed religiously.  This throwback read and review is a feel-good as it takes me back to when times were simpler and there was less hate in the world.  This story is interesting as it shows how hate and the desire to destroy would be the undoing of mankind.

This is book one of the Witchs Knot trilogy. I wish I purchased all of them instead of just the first book.  The world-building, character development, and plot all sucked me in.  This page-turner had me read until the early morning hours to see what would happen next.  Lee is a witch from a long line of female-dominated witch families.  She is confident, young, and finally returning to the family business of magic.  She needed time to find independence and explore a bit before she settled down and learned more magic from her mother and aunt.  As with all youth, she thought her family members would be around for a long time and she could put off learning her craft.

As Lee is thrown into a world of black magic, she finds not one, but two champions to support and love her.  Yes, yes . . .hence the title of the book.  Lee's fast courtship with Aidan Bell is interrupted by Aidan's best friend, Alex Carter.  Is it really interrupted or more enhanced?  It is questionable as the threesome quickly finds its rhythm.  Ms. Dane always excels in her erotic scenes.  This story is just as steamy as it is romantic.  Her manages are delicious to read.  They feel more realistic because it isn't all rainbows and unicorns.  It takes communication and work.  This triad finds its groove and they are able to overcome the challenges both internal and external.

If you haven't read a Ms. Dane paranormal book yet, this is a great entry into her works.  This erotic novel is recommended to vampire lovers who enjoy an MFM menage.
