Wow, a loose end thread that I did not think about much now receives its own full story.  I love it.  It has been a while since I have read a Ms. Sinclair book.  She used to be go to first kinky author to read.  This new book in the Masters of Shadowlands series is a delight.  It is a return to familiar characters and enhanced with another lovely pairing.  This is all about Master Saxon.

There is a joke about saving a puppy or some other adorable animal like a duck... and the female romance readers will lose their minds and fall in love with the character.  I cannot deny that this plot device works.  It works exceedingly well on females and even the most unlikable character suddenly becomes admirable.  In this case, the viking dom, Master Saxon is already an overload of sexy and sweetness.  As a veterinarian who constantly helps animals, he is already rating pretty highly for me.

 It is no surprise the submissive he ends up with Murphy.  Murphy is the "one who got away" in the sense that no one knew what happened to her.  They didn't know her name or if she was okay.  This is part of an earlier storyline with the human trafficking.  The closure this book brings is more for the dominants of Shadowlands than for us readers.  Still, it was nice to see a previous thread be brought forward and tied off so nicely.

The kinky scenes in this story are realistic and honest as expected from Ms. Sinclair.  Seeing the kink community coming together is always a delight. #Lifegoals Seeing Murphy explore the world with an experienced Saxon gives me the warm fuzzies.  This is a wonderful read from beginning to end.  Recommended as a Gateway to BDSM book.
