Review: Master Chef
Master Chef by Golden Angel
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Happy New Year to all! For those who are needing an escape from reality, may I gently suggest picking up a Golden Angel book? I found this in my kindle library TBP. Needing a bit of smexy romance, this story did it.
The characters in this book are people we can easily relate too. They have a job and they bust their buts trying to do it well. They also want to command respect and trust at work. When Nick and Avery who work together decide to explore an intimate relationship together, it becomes complicated. Work relationships can be messy, especially if it is a boss to subordinate hierarchy. Throw in kink, and all sorts of complications can arise.
What happens in this story is all too easy to see unfolding in real life. It is a sad commentary of our society for being so judgmental. Even Nick was bias with preconceived notions until he learned a bit more about the kinky lifestyle. Nick's struggle with BDSM is realistic and a worry for many. I like how the author portrays it and looks at it from different view points. As Nick becomes more familiar with the big and scary sexual kinks, he starts to see why it can be so appealing. I love this sexual discovery for him.
I feel pain for Avery and how she's mistreated. If a woman gets anywhere, if there is any hint of sexual interaction, someone is going to accuse them of sleeping to the top instead of seeing their real skill sets. This aggravates me to no end.
The BDSM classes in this story are delightful. The kinky sessions are believable and ones I've either seen or witnessed. This kinky erotic romance is recommended as a BDSM Gateway book
