Review: Abel

Abel

Abel by Katee Robert
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Wow, now I know why fans of Ms. Robert are clamoring for the Sabine Valley series. I was not sure if I would be interested and boy was I wrong. This is a series of retribution and I love it!  With the first explosive book in the series, Abel grabs me by throat and slams me up against the wall. My eyes roll back in pleasure as the extremely dominant characters in this world wreck havoc.

Abel is the oldest brother and he is the one who will be the catalyst to bring the world he had back into order. This is just the first step and he does with extreme prejudice. The controlled violence in this book is erotic and primal.  I love it! The complications and the messy affairs of the heart are played out for all to see.  The political intrigue mixed in makes a person not affiliated with any of the families want to run and shelter in place until this nuclear war is over.  The drama!  The heartbreak!  The betrayals!  The misunderstandings!  Give me more!  This is an intense story filled with high emotion and danger lurking around every corner.

Let's get down and dirty with Eli, Harlow and Abel.  This dysfunctional threesome needs sexual healing. I wish they would wrestle it out naked and then f like little bunnies.  It is as if Ms. Robert anticipated her reader's desires and plays it out in vivid glory. The snarky comments, the petty hurts, they finally break through so that real communication can occur.  The conflicts are no longer festering. The lancing of the heart pains is cathartic. With this first book, I am not sure I am ready for the up and down roller coaster of the next book.  This erotic romance is recommended to menage reader who want it brutal and direct.
