Review: Magnum Volume 1: A Motorcycle Club Kinky Paranormal Forced Proximity Rescue Romance

Magnum Volume 1: A Motorcycle Club Kinky Paranormal Forced Proximity Rescue Romance Magnum Volume 1: A Motorcycle Club Kinky Paranormal Forced Proximity Rescue Romance by Candace Blevins
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wow, this book blew my mind and is sooo meaty. When I say meaty, I mean this book length is long and there is so much complexity to the story. I am absolutely entranced. I am also flabbergasted that this will be anothe duology! When does Ms. Candace sleep? However she is cranking this stories out, I am down for it. This one, I loved the characters and I absolutely enjoyed the glorious power exchange.  Woohoo!

Let's start with the characters. I kind of recall Storm as a minor secondary character from an earlier book in this Book Universe. I never thought she would receive her own story but boy is it a doozy! I do not remember Magnum whatsoever, but wowza do I like him.

There are multiple fronts as to why I enjoyed this story so much.  First off, Storm is smart. I love how she is an investigative report back with reporters actually investigated. She also is smart with how she protects herself. All the techie stuff geeked me out and I loved it. She also knows when she is out of her depth and needs help.

This lands her in Magnum's lap so to speak. One minor detail. . .she is human and does not know about the paranormal world. She is also smart enough to figure out something hinky is going on. I love how Me. Blevins created this character and how she matched Storm up to Magnum. Magnum is one of those still waters runs deep types.

This first book in the duology sets up the conflict so well. Her big story is an explosive one and I am invested in how it turns out.  The second piece, how the plot is laid out and intermixed with the paranormal world works so well for me. I am eagerly waiting for each piece of evidence the MC and Storm dig up. The plot brings in villains galore.

Third, did I mention the sex? Wow the rules for this power exchange is off the charts sexy. It is hard brutal and a bit more realistic than the previous duology Ms. Candace just wrote. Because. . . Storm is human. Magnum is creative and so disciplined. His rules are difficult but not unachievable. For those who thrive under power exchange, this is definitely a winner.

Even though this is a long novel and I read into the wee hours of the night, it still ended too quickly for me. It ends in another hook that makes me yearn for the next book.  Recommended to kinky readers who love a good plot.

* I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
